HI! Thanks for taking a look around! Someday Soon kennel is located in Sumter, South Carolina. I am a registered Veterinary Technician by trade, and work in a very busy mixed animal practice.
I have been interested in Jack Russells since I can remember. I find there history and ability ineresting, they are so much more than a fuzzy little face!
I got my first Jack when I was about 14 years old, a rescue. "Jake" is the best old dog you could ask for. Not even close to breed standard, but he has the same heart and will as any show dog.
About 2 years ago, I decided I wanted to start showing and working, ONE DOG. One dog was fun, but there are only so many events you can do with just one...
then came a female puppy( Fizz), of course, so we could do those classes too. Then came an adult bitch... you get the idea. One became a few, became many! And I have loved every minute of it!
We are a small kennel, breeding just a few litters a year. We strive for a terrier with excellent comformation, and drive, as well as personality. Due in part because most people getting puppies from breeders aren't going to show their dogs.
We would like them all too, but most will end up laying on the couch watching the ballgame, instead of hunting vermine in a field, which is okay too!
we have signed and abide fully by the "BREEDER'S CODE OF ETHICS" from the JRTCA. I am interested in educating as many people as I can about the "true" Jack Russell, they aren't always as perfect and trainable as "EDDIE" or "WISHBONE".
